Announcements pictures

Y'know, I was just thinking... Whenever an announcement is posted, it shows a little picture on the Main page of the site.
Well I was just figuring, that maybe it is handy if the poster of the announcement gets his own picture, so people will actually know who posted it, instead of always having to put your name on the end of the post.

For example: Whenever XHunter posts an announcement, you see his chosen picture on the main page in his post. And when AGF posts, you (Probably) see a Roll picture (lol)

Again, it's just an idea, and I don't even know if you can do this.

Well the thing that I always thought was annoying, was when you went to a website and you got used to who's Avatar was who's, and the user changes his avatar completely confusing you because you're used to the other avatar.

I like the Standard news icon, as a standard, because it not only stands for one thing which people can easily see and know that each "" is a news announcement, but it also takes less time for a webpage to load up for someone with dial-up if you have fewer images on the webpage and or images that change from time to time.

Less look at this example.

lets say that Me, Taiyoh, and AGF, had our own News Avatar. The images would be about 1.5kb each, so 1.5 x 3 would be 4.5kb total.

So when a person visits the page, they have to download 4.5kb of News Avatars apposed to 1.5kb. Now for people like me, 4.5kb is nothing to download and would seem quite stupid to not have it where we each have our own News Avatar. Well as a Site Owner, I not only have to think about people using DSL/Cable, I also have to consider people who may be using a Dial-up Connection and 4.5kb added onto everything else you have to download and load on the page, can make visiting a website annoying.
