Mega Man 9 - First look at Proto Man DLC

This October, Mega Man fans around the world will be able to download Proto Man as a playable character for the new Mega Man 9. has gotten their hands on the upcoming download for Mega Man 9 and have as well as posted some .

Proto Man plays similar to Mega Man but with a few added features.
First off, Proto Man has the ability to charge his Proto Buster along with the ability to slide. In addition, Proto Man can use his shield to reflect enemy fire. The Rush Coil and Rush Jet are changed to Proto Coil and Proto Jet where Proto Coil summons a spring for Proto Man to jump on and Proto Jet has Proto Man using his shield as a jet (Similar to Rush Jet but with a shield). Proto Man Mode (Which is what the download is being called) will feature no item shop or screw/bolts to pick up in the levels. This is make the game a bit harder for those who tend to use the item shop to purchase additional E and M tanks. Proto Man also takes double damage from hits and has double the knock back.

- Proto Man can charge his Proto Buster
- Proto Man has the ability to slide
- Proto Man can reflect shots with his shield
- Proto Man takes double damage and has twice the knock back from hits
- Proto Man can not access the shop
- Proto Man will be available for download the week of October 6th for WiiWare, PSN, and Xbox 360.
- Proto Man Mode will cost $2 USD (200 Wii Points)

Personally, I can't wait for this to become available. Did anyone else notice the cool pose that Proto Man does during the Weapon Got screen (Smiles) All I can say is "Freakin Awesome!"
