November 18, 2008 - ZoneAlarm 2009 Pro

So, it would seem that I'm not the only folk around having a birthday this time of year. The folks at Check Point Software are celebrating their 15th anniversary, and as such, they've got a promotion on for folks to get ZoneAlarm 2009 Pro for free. I'm working on getting my download link for it right now, actually.... so we'll see how this goes. *^_^*

February 2, 2009 - Acronis True Image 10

Had that need to get a computer backup done? Yeah, well.... I'm with you on this one, I don't do it often enough. And sometimes that comes back to bite me. :p And I'll admit, Windows Backup sometimes isn't the best (spanning more than one disc, anyone?).

So, alternatives. In this case, Acronis is giving away licenses/serial numbers to True Image 10. I recall having looked up their software previoiusly, and the description actually read pretty well.... though at this very second, I'm having trouble even getting to their website, so I can't actually tell you much about it (like if it even supports writing to DVDs, and thus would need to support spanning multiple media.... heh.)
