The Ins And Outs of Vista

So I got my new laptop in the mail yesterday...and....it....is....awesome XD.

It's a Dell Inspiron Notebook...2.00 GHz Processor, 2 GB RAM(expandable to 4), 100 GB Harddrive, Built-in Wireless Network Card....and some other stuff I forget XD...But what really surprised me when I got it was that Vista was installed on it.

I was hoping to get XP again because I'm not to fond of Vista...but my Father insisted I stick with Vista since XP is slowly "dying"...And so far it isn't THAT bad....but it has some annoying features...like constantly asking your permission if you want to continue what your already doing....or not being able to download certain things if your not an Admin(but I am XD)...

But it isn't so bad so far...I'm getting used to it.

Any other Vista users on here that know a lot more about it?

Vista is not as bad as so many people claim it to be. Regardless of what people say, I believe it to be a really safe Windows. I like the fact that it asks you a couple of times, it only takes a few extra seconds to click it... like that really takes all my time.

All in all I trust Vista, but it does run a higher risk of being hacked simply because it is the newest thing, and hackers can't seem to resist attempting to hack it.

I know I prefer XP majorly over Vista.

I don't wish to waste RAM memory on visual effects.

It even took my quite a while to appreciate XP(Windows 98 FTW).

In any case, if I start using Vista, its caused by the shop and not by my personal choice.

But still, I respect people that do like Vista more then XP. But please also appreciate me thinking otherwise.

Just had to show me up didn't you Tri XD...You and your better Laptop XD.

But anyway...what I mean by saying "XP is slowly dying" is that more and more computers are only supporting Vista. Eventually XP won't be compatible on newer systems because Microsoft wants you to spend your money on their new OS instead of using an older version (XP). And now their advertising Vista Mojave a lot now.....oh wowee zowee I wonder why that is XD.
