Daylight Savings!

Unless the news is lying, those folks who experience Daylight Savings will have the thrill of adjusting all of their clocks forward one hour, at the ripe time of 2AM Sunday morning.

Sadly, I cannot enjoy this experience.... Arizona is a crummy dustbowl which doesn't celebrate this. I mean... that's about as blasphemous as not celebrating... New Year's or Kissmas. *-_-*

So... break out the balloons and streamers, crack open a bottle of fizzy apple cider, and celebrate the 2AM hour. Happy 23-hour day, folks.

@Daisy: Somehow, I knew that was coming, that it's not instated uniformly. It was easier... what, a year ago?... when it happened at the same time. <Kicks politicians who felt like having it a few weeks earlier in the US>

@Bahamut: From what I read about Daylight Savings, it's not celebrated in areas near the equator. I mean, if you think about it, that kinda makes sense.... if the days get longer in the northern hemisphere, they'd be getting shorter in the southern hemisphere. Near the equator, there'd be little change, and as such, there'd be no need for Daylight Savings. There's even a cute little map on the , that shows you that kinda stuff.

@Gemini: Why would it be 22 hours? Normal days are 24.... and the hour from 2AM to 3AM doesn't exist anymore.... that should make 23, I think.

By similar reasoning, you'd have a 25 hour day at the other end of Daylight Savings. If that makes you feel any better. :D

There are a few places which have +2 hours DST. At least I thought so, no idea where they are though..

Anyway, not everyone does it as the same time. And for the places near the equator, they CAN put their clock back but they wouldn't notice any difference.

yea DST is early this year... because Easter is early as well.. (which is next week)
