Mario and Sonic At the Olympic Games *released*

This game was recently announced on G4tv's "The Feed" It seems like, Nintendo and Sega are finally putting in a team effort to bring a game that pits Sonic and Mario against each other in competition....Finally!
I would guess, that this game was announced, so fans won't complain if Nintendo ends up not including Sonic in Nintendo's upcoming Wii game "Super Smacsh Bros Brawl" Not much was said about the game, but it seems promising.

Anyone else have any comments or info on the game?

I like just checked it out in IGN... Finally Mario and Sonic in the same game, and not in the horrible SNES Speedy Gonzales Hack in where you were Sonic, and rescued Multiple Marios.

It does sound promising, not many Olympic games get to have icons or characters that Gamers identify with very much, this seems to be the solution.

A probable Roster for that, must at least include:

Mario, Luigo, Peach, Toad and Wario on the Mario side. While the Sonic Side would feature Sonic, Knuckles, Amy, Tails, and Shadow... maybe lines up with their proper rivalries.

Keep us posted Matt, I really wanna see information on this interesting piece. =D

Whoa man, this looks so cool. Olympic game for sonic and mario, dang i really want to give it go, but too bad....(sob). anyway, i want to see more of this, so imma go check it out too.

this'll be fun. the guy you grows by eating and mushroom and jumps on goombas versus the really cool and fast hedgehog who homes in on everything and beats it to a pulp. (totally biased.) in short terms...

I think you're missing the whole concept and point of the game Jeremy. I doubt Sonic and Mario will even come in contact in the "Olympic Games." You talk as if they are gonna have a U.F match or something XD.

Yea I kno but this is also going to be used against them...

Sonic and Mario are going to have to go through many obstacle and clear all kinds of crazy "games" you find in the olympics testing their speed , strength, endurance, etc.

thats kinda what I meant but it didnt come out right I guess :lol:

Well, it seems this game will be released somewhere in November of 2007. I went to my local Gamestop and checked the reservation book. It'll most likely be delayed tho, but thats all the info i can give at the moment.

So, a game with both Mario and Sonic, two of the most well known video game characters in the world? Sweet. If only they'd include Sonic as a secret character in SSBB... but alas, it doesn't look like they will...
