PS2 vs. PS3 vs. XBox 360 vs. Wii

So, which do you believe is best? PS3 is currently no better than the PS2, which had a good run. XBoxes are horrible. So for me, the Nintendo Wii is the one... what do you think? I was talking with a guy from my local EB on what is better. He said this:
"The PS3 had a bad launch, and unless you're into mindless shooters, not-so-great-as-of-yet graphics, and dark themes, its not for you. XBoxes suck. Period. The Wii, however, is just mindless fun. While the PS3 has some motion sensing capabilities, Nintendo nailed it perfectly. So, right now, I suggest the Wii. But by next year, the PS3 will be some serious competition."
