HSPA Exams OVER!!

the HSPA is a required test in NJ that all HighSchool Jrs. take. It tests how students are progressing in Math (Alg. II), English/Literature, and Science (even though I believe the Science section isn't needed to pass nor required).

The test takes over a course of 3/4 days whilst one day will be spent on the math section, 2 days on the English, and the last on the Science.

I remember those kinds of tests. . . in Texas we had something called the TAKS test. I remember thinking it not only was a waste of my time, but also an insult to my intelligence. I finished the english section, and had so much time remaining that I began to count the word "the" wherever it appeared in the workbook. I had almost finished counting them when it was time to hand them all in. I think there were over 200 "the" words. The best part was that it did not count at all for your grade, but was for the school, to see how much funding they were going to get the next year. They were patently ridiculous.
But whatever. I hope you do well, especially if it does count towards your grades.
