The sky was glowing a brilliant shade of red that was intermixed with colors of orange and yellow. Smoke bellowed forth into the sky, its origins stemming from a building set ablaze below it. Police officials and firefighters littered the streets in front of the burning building, the firefighters desperately trying to put out the raging fires that spewed out from the building.
A woman dressed in a white lab coat rushes around the house, dodging the flames that lash out at her from every angle. Tears stream down from her eyes, a look of desperation and panic washes over her face. She calls out, "ROCK!! ROCK!!" as she hurries up the stairs, the flames consuming the house with each passing second. She quickly runs down the hall at the top of the stairs, the flames around her blazing with the intensity of the hottest star. She bursts through a door directly in front of her, in the middle of the room sits a boy no older than five. Despite the roaring flames around him, he's as quiet as can be. The woman grabs his hand and tugs him, "Come on Rock, we have to get out of here now!" The boy gets up, not daring to question his mother.
Just as they exit the room, the ceiling caves in on it. The loud crash scares the young boy and he starts to cry. The mother turns around and pats the young boy on the head, trying to assure him that things will be alright. She picks him up and continues down the hall, she makes it to the stairs and rushes down as fast as she can. The flames grow more intense, the frame of the house starts to crack under the pressure of its own weight as the flames continue to eat away at the house.
As she runs from the stairs, she barely avoids a jet of flame that bursts out from one of the walls, the flame roaring at her as if it sought to consume her in its burning mass. The boy holds his mom tightly, he tries to hold back tears of fear as she runs down the hall, the front door to the safety of the outdoors directly in front of her. The house continues to cave in on itself, the flames roaring louder than ever as if the fires of hell itself were bellowing forth from the house.
She holds onto Rock with all the strength her one arm has as she pushes through the front door with the might of the other. She continues to run, refusing to stop til she is sure she is safe from the fires behind her. As she makes it out to the front yard she's greeted by a man in a white coat, his brown beard lining his jaw, with brown hair on his head combed back neatly. His blue eyes show a look of sorrow. The mother stops by this man, tears streaming down her face as he wraps his arms around her and embraces her. The firemen desperately try to put the flames out behind her, water pours from the hoses to squelch the flames of the fires that rise forth from the house. The mother puts the young boy down and hugs the man again.
The mother looks into the eyes of the man, her teary brown eyes barely holding back the sorrow inside of her, "Dad...they didn't make it. Mihael and Blues didn't make it." The man looks at her, his eyes forcefully holding back the pain that he feels within him. "Sarah, what happened?" She buries her head in his chest, the stress of the situation break down her emotions as she cries with every breath, her tears soaking the coat of the man. She looks away, down toward the young boy. The boy stands there, looking up at his mother. "Mihael was working on a project that was using an energy source he discovered and Blues was helping him. I heard a loud noise come from the basement, it almost sounded like an explosion. Right after that the fire broke out in the house."
She clutches the man tightly as she starts to cough. A police officer walks up to her and places his arm on her shoulder, "Are you alright ma'am?" Sarah continues coughing as she kneels down, her arms clutching her chest tightly. "Get a medic over here quickly!" the officer screams out. "Sarah!? Sarah speak to me!" the bearded man yells as he kneels down in front of Sarah. Sarah's eyes start to dim as her coughs become more violent, she clutches the man with her left arm and looks up at him, "Take.....care.....of....", before she can finish her words, Sarah's eyes close as she passes out.
