Well, Sonic Unleashed is finally out for the Wii, Ps2, Ps3, and the Xbox 360.
I first picked up the Wii version... and even though the Sonic levels are decent,, the game is horrible. For one, you have no world map like in the 360/Ps3 versions. From what I've seen so far, boss battles were taken out of the Wii version as well as other features, such as the little Tails and Sonic mini-game, when you fly on the Tornado and shoot down Eggman's robots, kinda like Sonic Adventure. Not to mention that the Sonic and Werehog levels are completely different and when I say different, I mean from their 360/Ps3 counter-parts, it's only obvious that the Werehog and Sonic levels are different in general. Not to mention the Werehog section is just horrible.
Now, in the 360 version, which I got on Tuesday, is soooooooo much better. Sega did good with this "Hedgehog" engine. You go fast in this version and I mean FAST!! It really feels like a Sonic game. The Werehog sections of the game aren't even that bad. I mean, it's not as fun as Sonic's game play, but it is fun executing combo's and action-commands on the enemies. It also feels more smooth and solid than the Wii version.
My only complaint is the fact that the game will have you running back and forth to continents you've already been to, just to play 1 or 2 other levels before moving on. It gets kind of annoying, but other than that, it's a decent game, unless you rate it by "Sonic" Standards, then it's a really good Sonic game.
