Online Net Battle Topic!

This topic is to instruct you on how to setup your computer for Online Net Battles.
1. Download the latest version of Hamachi.
Download Link: http://www.hamachi.cc/download/
2. Install Hamachi and follow the instructions given.
3. After setting up Hamachi go to "Create or Join Networks" then click "Join Existing Network" and enter in the following info
Network Name: Rockman AMV
Network Password: 12345
4. Download VBALink version 180.beta
Download Link: http://vbalink.wz.cz/vbalink180b0.zip
Site: http://vbalink.wz.cz/
5. Get a Rockman EXE 6 or Megaman Battle Network 6 Rom, Both users must be using the same region version (Japanese vs Japanese) (US vs US) *we will not provider a Rom link*
6. Go to Gamefaqs.com and find a gamesave file you like and import it into your version. (to import your save file go to "File > Import > Gameshark Snapshot" and select the file.)
7. Open VBA and go to "Options > Link" and click and make sure that "Wireless Adapter" is checked.
8. Go to "Options > Link > Settings"
9. Select Network and put it on safer (Faster if you think you have a fast enough connection)
Host
1. Open VBA and go to "Options > Link > Settings" then click on the "Server" tab
2. Click start and wait for your friend to connect. As soon as it says that 1 player is connect, do you want to wait for more. say no.
3. Load the rom (both host and client must be using the same version)
and go to "comm" then "WRLS ADPT" then "HS" (Pick both your username and comment) then Single > Practice.
Client
1. Open VBA and go to "Options > Link > Settings" then click on the "Client" tab
2. Enter in the IP of the host shown in the Hamachi window, or click connect with "localhost" left in the IP box. As soon as you connect click ok.
3. Load the rom (both host and client must be using the same version)
and go to "comm" then "WRLS ADPT" then "CL" (Pick both your username and comment) then Single > Practice.
Troubleshooting
If you and your friend are unable to connect to each other, try the following things.
- Check your firewall to see if it is blocking the program.
- Open the ports on your router for Hamachi and VBA.
- Check to see if you are downloading anything.
- Make sure you and your friend are using the same game version.
- If you have Dial-Up, then you won't be able to do this since this requires a user with a Good Computer and a Good Internet Connect and Dial-up is only as fast as 56k/sec.
If you are having trouble opening the ports needed on your router, then visit www.portforward.com
