Welcome to the forum fellow Megaman fan. It appears that me and you are a like in many ways, as my first Megaman game played was Megaman 2 (I was 1 at the time) and yeah woot for classic gaming, when graphics where nothing but large sprites on the screen

Dont underestimate the almighty power of old-school gaming... xD
btw, I finished (once more) all NES megamans recently, and i must swear that it's still really funny to play ! I should play more new Megamans... didnt even played MMX7-8... (btw i'm kinda disliking the way the story is going with MMZero-MMZX, even if those have nice playability etc... there should be more "links" between MMX and the continuation of it (MMZero/MMZX)
Almost feel like i've skipped some part of the story xD
