AMV help for me.

now that i'm starting into AMVs, i need a way to do things with WMM.I'll use this topic whenever i need help.To start, i need a basic explination as to how i use only certain parts of clips, and one issue i doubt you guys can help me with:

Since my parents are afraid of my comp getting viruses, i have to use iTunes. I need a way to convert iTunes music files (MPEG-4) to an MP4, so i can import it to WMM.

okay...i need to convert an MPEG-4 to an MP3 file.

the xilisoft free trial can do it as long as it's not a 5+ minutes song

is it a fully-safe program? (this would be my parentally instilled paranoid not to lose my computer >.>)

EDIT:i tried running it, but it said it was a corrupted file,so i didn't download it.
