I don't understand why people keep saying he would burst into song and dance in the middle of the movie just because he starred in High School Musical...I'm pretty sure he can be a serious actor which is why people go to acting school...And I'm sure he was suggested for a good reason...you wouldn't take some kid from a Disney movie for no reason.

And people keep calling it "Death Note the Musical" XD. I don't see why people are so negative about this...give it a chance.

No no... Death Note the musical would sound nice. jkjk. Anyway, yeah, American remake is a bad idea like Tri said. They made a Kamen Rider american remake and the pilot was horrible. They doubt it would be any good.

I just have one word for this "WHY?!" Isnt the japanese ones getting dubbed good enough? lol. I was perfectly happy with the japanese dub. They dont need to remake it. I probably wouldnt like it but who knows.

I just don't see why people don't give it a chance to prove itself...I mean I can understand saying it could be total **** when it comes to making a movie based off of a flashy anime...

For example the Dragonball Z movie...I know it's gonna be total **** because our effects just can't keep up with that of the animation...but who knows maybe it'll surprise me.

Death Note itself doesn't really have anything flashy to it (aside from the Shinigami). It wouldn't really take much to make it. Just take a Action/Suspense movie slap the Death Note story, characters, plot in there....maybe throw in an explosion for good measure XD....and bam...of course it's easier said then done. You need actors who can do the roles really good. Which is why if I were directing I suggest they watch each episode of the episodes atleast twice.

But the point is just give it a chance...You never know....it could be good or flop. Don't be so quick to judge XD.

Megan Fox as Misa Amane XD....I can feel it coming.

Hmm, a Death Note American remake.... All I really have to say is that they had better not screw up! If they do ruin it my friend Beth and her friend Mary would kill all the cast and crew involved in the making of the movie.
