First Glimpse of Mega Man Universe Gameplay!

Gaming website IGN has an exclusive first look at the gameplay for Mega Man Universe coming to the Playstation Network and Xbox Live Arcade.



Edit: Apparently IGN was not the only gaming website to receive an exclusive first look at Mega Man Universe. Gaming websites Gamespot and 1up have also received exclusive first look trailers for Mega Man Universe, but whats interesting about this is that each trailer show cases a different version of Mega Man along with a Ryu as a playable character.




The game looks very interesting, especially the models from the characters. So thus far we have Mega Man, MM1 Boxart Mega Man, Rockman, and Ryu as playable characters.

Really? REALLY? No, this is NOT something new that Keiji was telling us. This is just another damn fanservice to the MM2 fanboys. Really, I was thinking this was going to be more like something WORTHY of only being on PS3 or Xbox. But no, this could EASILY have made it to the Wii. This is just a total disappointment. Rockman Online is looking more promising than this.

I don't see why people are praising Rockman Online. What gameplay footage have we seen. The only thing shown so far has been artwork and an anime styled trailer for the game. None of those two things mean the Rockman Online will be an awesome game.

Somebody PLEASE explain to me how Rockman Online is better than MMU Gameplay Wise.

I'd agree with VileMKII to an extent that it was disappointing seeing that MMU was just another side-scrolling Mega Man game after all the build up of it being something different, but that doesn't mean that its not something new for the Mega Man franchise. I mean, what do we know about the game so far? I know that its going to be a 2.5d side-scrolling game much like Mega Man Powered Up and that it will feature multiple playable characters. I also know that its going to be for the PSN and XBLA so there is the possibility for it too have downloadable content. I also noticed from the trailer that there was a stage with the word "Mega Man" spelled out it blocks. Although this doesn't mean much to many people, it tells me that there could possibly be some sort of "Stage Construction" mode for that game much like Mega Man Powered Up. But at this point its too early to tell if this game is going to suck or not.

I'm totally agreed with you. This game can be awesome, i imagined diferent but it sound interesting =3
