yes another sony vegas user.
i just got sony vegas 6 and i am going to learn to use it (i give up adobe premier because it crashes a lot and slow on my computer)

how can i crop video using sony vegas and change the fading colour?

You Crop with the "Event Pan/Crop" Function and you can make a special colored flash simply by making a white or black image in Paint shop and imputing that.... then sizing the image to fit the screen.
